I started my Postal Career in Elkhart, IN as a CCA in October 2014. I became a regular city carrier after 13 months of service and served as a T-6 letter carrier while stationed there. In February 2017, I was asked to assist with administrative duties as a 204(b). I enjoyed learning from PM Jason Scholten and at the time SCS Rob Briney and SCS Jim Temple so much I didn’t want to go back to carrying. Thus, I applied to become an SCS within the Elkhart installation as well and was awarded the job.
Working through the difficulties of becoming a SCS within your own installation, I was able to earn the respect of my peers and co-workers. Next, I wanted to become a Postmaster and applied to the Postmaster of Granger, IN and Walkerton, IN, ultimately being awarded the Postmaster of Walkerton, IN in May 2019.
I have had the pleasure of serving details within South Bend, IN Brademas as A/MCS and Warsaw, IN as OIC. I am a member of the RCE Team, Yellow Belt Certified, and most recently asked to be a facilitator for PME Classes. I have been a member of UPMA since June 2021 where I have served as a VP at large since 2022, attended 2 Chapter Conventions, 1 Membership Kickoff, and 3 Legislative Summits.
My current title is Postmaster, Plymouth IN awarded May 2022. I have 3 children Asa, Edith, and Daphne all gifts from my wonderful wife Caitlin to whom I’ve been married since 2013.
