Jeff Jarrett is in his 19th year of service at the USPS and is excited with the current acceleration and recent trajectory of his career opportunities. Jeff is currently searching for trainings and or details to make him a more well-rounded leader of the USPS. He is proud to represent this service organization, and truly feels the individual can and will make a difference. Leadership and Communication are at the center of why he is successful in his current position and these tools will ensure success into the future. Jeff feels an obligation to lead well, serve well, and share knowledge with those interested in leaving a legacy of success for future postal leaders.
Jeff is currently Postmaster of Carmel, IN (22). Prior positions include: OIC of Anderson, IN (22), Postmaster of Seymour, IN (21), OIC of Columbus, IN (22), A/MCS in Indianapolis - Wanamaker Branch (22), MCS in Indianapolis - Cumberland Branch (20). OIC in Whitestown, IN (18b); SCS (Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, IN; Rushville, IN). External experiences of value include US Army, Military Police Officer, and an education focused on Marketing Education as well as Organizational Leadership.
As a Postmaster Jeff is responsible for the operations of a large-sized office. Working towards improving employee morale and engagement for Craft and EAS. As a result this will improve safety, performance and compliance.
Jeff is Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified, was scheduled for Green Belt Training in May 2020 (Canceled due to COVID-19), served on LSS Green Belt Team POOM 5 (MTE Best Practices), Bronze Certified in Delivery/Networks/Transportation Operations through Analytics University as well as Silver Certified for Delivery Operations and Silver Complete for Network Operations. Jeff is a graduate of USPS Management Essentials for Field Leadership (MEFL) (Group 28, 2019)
Jeff was also sworn in as the President UPMA - Indiana Chapter in 2021, and elected as UPMA Postal Area Coordinator - Central Area in 2022.
